Our WCW today is one we tag as a lady with too much Suace. She is intelligent, smart, beautiful, creative and exquisite. Her name is Bolanle Olukanni also known as bolinto, a TV Presenter popularly known for hosting “Moments with Mo” on DStv and Project Fame West Africa.


Bolanle was raised in Nigeria, Israel and Kenya. She attended St. Saviours Primary school in Lagos and went on to Queens College for secondary school. Olukanni moved to Nairobi attended Rosslyn Academy in Nairobi, Kenya for part of her high school. Prior to her final year of high school, she moved to America for her senior year and attended Wichita Southeast High School in Wichita, Kansas , where she participated in the National Speech and Debate Tournament for Dramatic Interpretation . In 2007,Olukanni received a Bachelor’s degree from Loyola University, Chicago , with a double degree – Bachelors of Arts in both Communications and International Studies.

Bolanle Olukanni began her presenting career with Moment with Mo, now called ‘Moments.’ She still co-hosts the show alongside Toke Makinwa and Michelle Dede on EbonyLife TV. When she was asked why she ventured into the entertainment industry. She said in quote ” Prior to university, I planned on working as a radio VJ. I used to live in Kenya and fell in love with Kenyan radio. Hence when I went to school I studied communications. When I got to the university, I become more interested in development and public service work than media, so I focused mainly on that.” Her passion in media and entertainment rekindled when she was almost done with her NYSC program.

In 2013, Bolanle won ‘Search for Mo’s Co-host’ competition out of all hopefuls across Africa. Bolanle has interviewed a variety of inspiring and influential celebrities and politicians such as Oscar nominated actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, Babatunde Raji Fashola and many others.

As a creative content person, she realised there was a need for content and that there is a world of options for creating new shows. She developed a media company with a business partner called Sage & Walls as they began producing shows outside of “On the Carpet”. Aside from “On the Carpet”, she also has a show called “Introducing” which showcases up and coming talents in the art scene.

Apart from being in the entertainment sector, bolanle also likes to touch lives and make an impact in her community. She is on the board of directors for the Self-worth Organisation. It’s an NGO that provides empowerment and skills acquisition training for widows and single mothers. In an interview with her she says “I am really passionate about the livelihood of widows as I have seen that they are a forgotten group in society.”

The Nigerian women diary celebrates bolanle for incredible contribution to the entertainment industry. We believe in her gifting and we know she is going to make it far to the top.
