AFRICAN AMBASSADORS AT THE MISS AFRICA GREAT BRITAIN CHARITY GALA 2016

Ambassador Simon Ogah (High Commissioner of Nigeria UK) and Mrs Mari-Cruz Evuna Andeme ( High Commissioner of Equatorial Guinea) were among dignitaries that attended the 5th Annual Fundraising Gala of Britain’s largest ethnic pageant, Miss Africa Great Britain which took place this Saturday, the 19th of March at the Ripple Centre, Barking , Essex.

Renowned for it’s astounding commitment to charitable giving through its Queens 4 A Reason program, founder Dele Onabowu had this to say.

“ This is the essence of Miss Africa Great Britain. Beside the Glitz and Glam of being a beauty queen, we instil into our Queens, the culture of charitable giving and also empowering them to be future leaders. The current Queen Susana Owono from Equatorial Guinea will be travelling to Equatorial Guinea in April 2016. We will be shipping 20 wheelchairs to be delivered to the ASONAMI Disabled Association and also stationery for students of the CANIGE School for orphans.“

The Miss Africa GB pageant (Formerly Black Africa UK pageant) was founded in 2011. The pageant is highly competitive and seeks to bring out leadership qualities in women. The winner becomes a goodwill ambassador for Miss Africa GB, charged with designing and implementing a charity program based on her Pageant Platform.
