Success Omaje Julius is a Fashion Model, a Media Entrepreneur also a Business Owner, she holds a diploma in Mass Communication.

From a family of Six,  three siblings, Two males and one female, the third born her family. She loves  good food and clothes, Queen Omaje is very passionate about Female Development, she likes to see women grow and excel that’s the she started her online media called THE XPERIENCE.

It is an online media platform that focuses on the celebration and development of women in Nigeria and across the globe. “We bring the works of these female entrepreneurs to limelight and applauds them through our recognition platform – THE XPERIENCE WOMANITY AWARDS. I have always loved fashion so I decided to also birth my long conceived dream JUMAJE AFRICA, it is a fashion retail shop that sells only made in Africa fashion products.

What is the inspiration & motivation behind Jumaje Africa?

Well I have always had passion for Fashion and supporting people. I have loved innovations ,arts and creativity.

I love to celebrate Good works, so Jumaje Africa is an opportunity for me to celebrate Africa and its exceptional innovators and creators.

 

Tell us about Jumaje Africa

Jumaje africa is a fashion retail shop that’s sells all made in africa fashion pieces, Art, Jewels, and craft.
We aim to promote only made in Africa products and that’s what are focused to do.

 

Our big dream is to have at least one of our fashion retail shop in every city in Africa and also outside Nigeria, like in Paris, Milan and Las vegas.
We can export our products you know.
So let’s just do it!

 

So how did you come up with your brand name?

My brand name…..
Hmmmm
Well my nick name is omaje, and my sound name is Julius.
So I suffixed ju-maje.
So it gave me jumaje.
It looks and sounds epic and African, so I choosed it.

 

 

At what age did you start becoming fascinated with fashion ?

Quiet a young age, say 11
I just like to style and look different.

 

What type of outfit makes you feel most confident or powerful?

I love Kimonos
It makes me feel powerful and in charge.

 

Favorite all time designer naija/ abroad?

Hahahaha, I love a number of them, like I said early creativity appeals to me.
I won’t say I have a favourite, once you’re creative you’re my favourite.

 

Considering the fact that you just launched into fashion… what are your plans for the future / Where do you see yourself taking your fashion career?

My plans for the future is to have jumaje Africa retail shop in every city in Africa, where people can go shop their favourite designers piece.
We wish to also connect with all designers and creators in Africa, being the largest fashion retail shop in the world.

 

What do you think are the most limiting challenges women are facing in Nigeria?

The most limiting challenges women are facing is the challenge to discover self, a lot of women don’t know whom they are. What they are on earth for, why God created.
A lot of them don’t know these things.
That’s is the foundational challenge of every women. Once you discover self, everything falls in place.

 

What’s your message to women who wear your collection?

My message to women who wear my collection is this.
“be original, be you, don’t fake it”
